Howdy!
This year we have decided to give some flower seeds to those of our customers who want them. We have a few different kinds, those being- hollyhock, cleome, and poppy seed. This is what the poppy flowers looks like, the center piece being all those funny looking green things around the flower.
Those little green things dry out and eventually look like this:
You simply break off that dry centerpiece and dump the seeds out of the little holes around the top edge. You’d be surprised how many seeds can be packed into that little container!
After harvesting all that we wanted we laid them out to dry. Soon they will be ready to give to our customers!
Now you know how to harvest poppy seeds! It’s very easy and a lot of fun for the whole family. And if you don’t have poppies look around through what flowers you do have, you may have other easily accessible seeds.
Now go enjoy the fall weather! 🙂
Blessings,
The Bryant Family
